So, its over… Our second year at BRIDES The Show. Done. We met hundreds of ’Brides to be’ at London’s trend led exhibition. We (hopefully), showed you how you can add personality into your day. Your wedding flowers don’t have to be domes of white, like ice creams in vases!
Last year we went totally tropical and built a MASSIVE tropical foliage wall and paired it with copper and rose gold pots and details filled with seasonal British blooms. It went down a treat.
This year at the show the lovely peeps at BRIDES magazine asked us to expand on our stand from last year by participating in the ‘Lookbook Live’ exhibit. This is where BRIDES magazine replicate key shoots they have styled in the magazine with florist’s input. So, Hiding in the City Flowers, created a table jungle with lots of foliage’s, pops of clean white flowers and loads of Succulents, cos you lot love them.
This time around we didn’t want to go tropical, and we wanted to swerve copper, which has been totally rinsed and hung out to dry. We wanted to create a stand designed around ‘Dark Romance’ using some of nature’s most dramatic dark colours, which most Brides don’t even know exist. We turned to the long forgotten glamour of *GOLD* accessories and followed our love for British flowers by using natural seasonal foliage with British roses and Dahlias from our wickedly clever growers and suppliers.
Geometric design are still big and we wanted to draw on this by using really clean and contemporary square white vases and Gold metallic stands for our wild wedding flowers to sit on top of.
We’ve seen sooooo many white walled styled shoots and wanted to bring the drama. Dark blue moody interiors are big at the moment, and we love blue, in any hue, so decided to style all of the arrangements in front of a massive dark teal wall to accent the floral drama.
